The Fall merit badge fair will be here before you know it.  This is a good chance for your Scout to earn those merit badges he's been wanting to get.  Also, it is a good time to catch up on Adult training.  All parents, whether a leader or not, are encouraged to take the "Youth Protection Training".  It is a short video/discussion based lesson.  (BSA leaders are required to take this course every three years). Follow the link at the bottom of the page to view training opportunities at the Spring Merit Badge Fair.

If you are an adult leader, remember that training is required by BSA.  If you're not certain if you are registered as a leader this year....follow the link below to see if you are a Committee member. Some of you may need to get current.  Listed below are training requirements of the Golden Arrow District:

All Leaders:
-Fast Start Training
-New Leaders Essentials
-Youth Protection Training

Committee Members must also have:
-Troop Committee Challenge

Assistant Scoutmasters must also have:
-Scoutmaster Specific
-Introduction to Outdoor Skills

If you're not certain if our Troop records have your training as current, email me (Gary) and I will send you a printout.
