What's New
Website (7/15/04)
The Troop website layout is almost complete!! There are many items
that I would like to see included in the site, so I have started a "to do"
list in one of the Discussions within the site....feel free to add any ideas or
wishes that you have at the Website To Do Discussion (you will have to be
registered to add data). Since the site is interactive, you will be
required to use your logon account in some areas, such as the
"members
only area"
or when you edit documents or lists. You should have already
received an invitation with your account information. If not, please
send a request and I will get the information to you. Enjoy your
website....and happy surfing.
Tips For Website General Use
(7/15/04)
Please respond
to the
Privacy Survey to let us know what kind of information you want
posted about you and
your scout. No personal info (pictures,
etc.) will be posted to the "Public area" unless it has been previously
authorized by you via the Privacy Survey.
Once you have
logged on to the site, you will stay authenticated until you close your
browser window.
Remember to
close your browser window if you are accessing the website from a public
area (for the above
reason).
In order for Web
Subscriptions to work your email address must be current in your personal
information at
whichever site you are requesting them (Public site or
Members Only site).
You will always be
able to edit or delete any information you have posted in the interactive
areas.
You will notice an
"export" link in many areas of the site. If you are using
Office XP, you will be able to export
the data you are viewing to an Excel spreadsheet
to save on your local machine.
In the "Shared
Docs" area you can create a new Word document to share by simply clicking
"New Document".
In the "Shared
Docs" area, when you click on a file, you will be prompted to either
open (run from current
location) or save the file. Some files you
may only want to view or run.....so click open and the file will be run
on the server. I have put file called NIST
in the Shared Docs as an example. Click on this this file and then
click "Open" or "Run from current location"
(depending on your web browser). You will be able to synchronize
your computer clock with the atomic clocks
without installing the application.
Downloadable Forms (9/2/04)
More forms have been added to the parents page.
More will be upcoming.
Photo Gallery (9/23/04)

Beach Clean-up have been posted. Those of you that have

records!! Please compare what we have on file with your records.
If you see discrepancies...simply print out your history sheet, add the
dates or items that don't match, and bring your corrected copy to the
next Troop meeting.

Summer Camp (06/20/05)
Summer camp at Pirtle was a hit ! !
Although the weather was as warm as you would imagine, the Scouts
and Leaders had a great time. Most Scouts earned three or more
merit badges and had fun doing it. The Troop won several unit
awards including Honor Troop, Best Troop Spirit and Best Camp Gate.
We also had several scouts that won individual awards/medals.
Congratulations Scot, Elias, Eric, Eli, William and the Troop as a
whole.
This year the Leaders were also given an opportunity for
training. All leaders caught up on training they were lacking or
refreshed their previous training.
Check out the Summer Camp Photos in the
Photo Gallery.
Winter Camp (11/26/05)
Winter Camp is less than a month away (Dec
26-31)!! This year we go to the Bay Area Council's
Camp Karankawa near Bay City, Texas. It should be a great
camp. Last year they had snow.....who knows maybe this year also.
